Guest Lecture by Prof. Peter Gray

The Centre for Irish Studies invites you to “William Sharman Crawford and the Revival of Ulster Radicalism“, a guest lecture by Prof. Peter Gray. The lecture will take place on Wednesday 30 April, 12:30-14:00 in Room 1 on the ground floor of the Faculty of Arts main building.

Peter Gray is Professor of Modern Irish History and Director of the Institute of Irish Studies at Queen’s University Belfast. His publications include Famine, Land and Politics: British Government and Irish Society, 1843-50 (1999), The Making of the Irish Poor Law (2009) and William Sharman Crawford and Ulster Radicalism (2023). He is a Member of the Royal Irish Academy and Chair of the Irish Committee of Historical Sciences.
